The Story

Following the success of the first video on carbohydrates, Decathlon and Eye Motion contacted us again to produce a new episode, this time dedicated to the hypocaloric diet.

Always with the same ambition: explain complex concepts simply, while keeping a fun and educational aesthetic.

This time, the format evolved. In addition to animation, the intervention of a real person allowed the subject to be anchored in reality, while keeping our graphic style established in the first video.

The Challenge

The challenge was to visually translate, without heaviness, the notions of energy expenditure, calorie intake, and calorie deficit, while fluidly accompanying the speaker’s words.

The hybrid format (live action + motion design) required meticulous synchronization between animations and gestures or speech, so that the rendering remained clear, fluid and engaging — all while keeping the same pedagogical, dynamic and visually coherent tone as the first episode.

The WAAAW Effect

Once again, form served content: the video was praised for its clarity, its educational relevance, and its ability to make often misunderstood notions accessible to the general public.

The already established graphic style strengthened the identity of Decathlon’s educational content series, laying the foundation for possible future videos in the same line.

WAAAW perfectly translated our scientific explanations into clear, rhythmic and attractive visuals. The mix between real and animation works wonderfully.
