The Story

Golden Palace contacted us with an urgent request: to create an architectural presentation video for its future gaming and leisure complex in Thonon-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie, in collaboration with Atelier d’architecture Rivat.

The stakes were high: bringing to life a building that existed only as plans and a 3D model, allowing Golden Palace to present and defend its project to the city of Thonon-les-Bains.

More than a simple technical presentation, the video needed to convey the architectural ambition of the future venue: a premium, contemporary complex integrated into its urban surroundings.

Our mission: to transform an architectural vision into a compelling visual experience, allowing the jury to imagine themselves in this future destination.

The Challenge

The deadline? Two weeks. The starting point? A raw Revit model.

A genuine production challenge for our team, tasked with transforming a technical architectural model into a realistic, animated 3D environment ready for presentation.

First step: reworking and optimising the existing model. Cleaning up the geometry, adapting it to our production tools, retexturing, creating materials and designing the spaces: every detail mattered to achieve a convincing result.

We then recreated an environment inspired by Thonon-les-Bains, incorporating several distinctive features of the architectural project.

Among them, a Lebanese cedar tree that had to be preserved on the site, along with a perforated pattern on the curtain wall façade inspired by the surrounding mountain landscape. Essential details to anchor the building in its local environment and respect Atelier Rivat’s architectural vision.

But even the most spectacular architecture only truly comes to life through the way people experience it.

We therefore enriched the 3D architectural visualisation with characters, vehicles and animations, even incorporating the arrival of a high-speed TGV train at the station located immediately next to the future complex.

A production combining 3D animation, staging and visual composition to create a video capable of telling the story of the building, its surroundings and the experience awaiting its future visitors.

The WAAAW Effect

In just two weeks, a technical architectural model became a fully realised visual experience.

Thanks to this 3D video, Golden Palace was able to present far more than a building: a vibrant future leisure complex, integrated into its surroundings and designed with its visitors in mind.

Our approach highlighted Atelier Rivat’s architectural choices, showcased the site’s distinctive features and made the project accessible to a non-specialist audience.

The result? A compelling presentation that contributed to Golden Palace winning the competition.

A great demonstration of what 3D creation can bring to architecture: transforming plans and volumes into emotions, possibilities and visions of the future.

And all of this on a schedule that didn’t exactly leave us much time to admire the Savoyard scenery!

You managed to create total immersion in our project in record time. Thank you for your responsiveness and sense of detail.
